Tom and I tried Ann, but they were shut down pretty good. I guess I don't understand why they were so off tonight.

We were on fish several times, but they just wouldn't cooperate. $:-\$

I managed a couple Chiquita banana walleyes in 5 hours.

I went to millelacs last night, I didn't have any luck , but my friend pulled up a 25" walleye

Haven't been doing good at all lately. My brought home fish totals this year are 8 crappie, 4 gills and a pike. :[

Heading out to Rush on thursday, hopefully the crappies are cooperating.

Rush is a zoo. It was heavily driven on with all of the slush and then it all re-froze so it's nice an bumpy. Strap your gear down tight.

Ann is pretty bad too. It felt like my wheeler was a jet ski at times. $:-\$

I hit a real bad spot on my way in, It was too dark to see it until there was no tuning back. I saw a whole lotta open water in front of me, I said a prayer and hit it as hard as I could. I bet the water and slush was a foot deep on top of the ice.

I didnt have time to say a prayer it came up to fast that sucked but the old polaris got threw it

The St.Croix isnt doing so good either. We had a massive shad die off and I think everything is feeding off that. Bellies are full like mine was on the hollidays.

It happens every year by the power plant. Theories are the shad get sucked up into the cooling tower then when their flushed out with the warm water the temp change kills them. Others say its a natural occurence me I'm not sure why but the fishing is slow and I think the dead shad has alot to do with it. The ice on the river is getting better in the trouble spots so our range is openning up.

Blue gills some days good for a short time..... wax worms very light bite...... Any one had any luck with Gulp bait?

Yes and no on the Gulp. I have had them show strong preference for it, and I have had them refuse it for real waxies. I put the stuff in another category. it is not a replacement for waxies, it is another bait option.

I sure ate good, lol i tried to drive out on Ann with the jeep but it wasn't happining, snow was too deep and i kept hitting slush pockets, so i went to knife , happy i did

My wife has done a little complaining about how much time we have spent on the ice this year, but next year he starts school and hockey and then he will be too busy chasing girls. Thank God my daughter should be ready for ice fishing by this time next year!!

went back to knife , things seem to be slowing down, only caught 6 decent crappies, tons of people out there today , also i put my leg down a hole and skun my shin to the bone, not very fun
