« on: Jan 13, 2009, 06:38 PM »
Anyone know anything about this lake? We drove out on it last year and a found some good stuff with the vex. When we got back to camp a guy said it was full of springs?  We never had a prob but dont want to be searching for a truck either!!! Looked to me to be a good a lake for some pannies or pike. Anyone know about springs?

Springs..

Ann lake is full of them. I have a rough guesstimate of where they are and stay the heck away from them with the truck. Sometimes they will be skimmed over and they will eat you alive. The cluster in the picture has given me the cold water shock a couple of times. There can be three feet of ice, and they will still burn through. I do not know Lone Lake at all, but a few pointers should help keep you safe...

A) Buy your bait at a local shop and ask, they will know.

B) Don't venture off the trails. The locals will know where the trouble spots are, and they generally wont drive anywhere near them.

C) Tree branches on the ice mean STAY AWAY!!

Good luck, post some pictures. ;)
