I'm here and new to the forum... I have a ice castle that stays up at Lake of the woods so I do most of my fishing up there... I'm from the Duluth area so of course I have my little crappie lakes I have I like around here... But it's deer season so I have one thing on my mind until that meat is in the freezer

Live just north of Brainerd, fish Leech and some of the smaller lakes near there mostly for Perch, Crappie and Gills. Make at least one trip
to LOTW usually for early ice, got sent home last year after she opened up again. Hope we don't get a replay of that nonsense again.

I havent ice fished in over 15 years. Open water, constantly, but for some reason over the years never got on the ice. A buddy of mine talks about it constantly and prefers it to open water. So I started reading, watching vids, and now I have the fever big time.

Im in Bloomington so I fish the city lakes mostly and Im sure I will do the same when the water freezes. Ive got a lot to learn! But that is part of the fun. Slowly but surely Im picking up some essential items needed for the ice fishing. Heading out to Blaine on Saturday for the Expo and I hope to get some good info while there.

O'Dowd a few times. Caught some nice pike/bass/crappie there. Ive heard there is good Walleye fishing there too.

Hey I'm Mitch, new to the site and love it so far! Fishing/living up in Bemidji. Hoping to slay the eyes, and slimes again this year!! Red Lake and Lake of the Woods were BOOMING last year! Could we be so lucky again?

Duncan here new to the site and I fish hard water only and golf in the summer. Fish all over the west metro and Mille Lacs. heading to the Hard Water expo tomorrow. sure to see the Ice Shanty crew out in full force

Until I buy a boat I have to stick to golf in the summer. With two young kids it will be a few years with out a boat.

Hey Guys
I usually get out around the Detroit Lakes area but will fish anywhere. I fished a bunch of derbies last year and it was pretty cool including two kids derbies (well I should say at least my son fished in those). I'm not saying it was the best fishing but it was cool to get out and socialize and see other folks setups.

I fish the DL area and the Cormorant basin, Pelican chain but not as much since the zebra mussel infestation.
I live in Moorhead, in the summer I fish the river often.

I live in the Cambridge area and fish mostly lakes around the area here. I do like fishing on green lake in Chisago though. That lake is always good for crappies and bass through the ice.

Blue Lake in Zimmerman is fun. Ive caught a lot of really nice bass and crappie there. Never iced fished there though.
