Looking for place to cold weather camp and ice fish on the eastern side of MN.

Hi - I'm looking for public places to go ice fishing and cold weather camp on the eastern side of MN. I'm from Illinois and want to make a trip up there this year to camp and fish. I want to try the Moose Lake area and want to find places to tent camp and then ice fish. I'm not looking for anyone's secret spots - I really just want to catch some panfish (maybe a perch or two) and do some winter camping. If anyone has any good suggestions or knows where winter camping is available that has fishing close by - please let me know! I would really appreciate any ideas.

Camp grounds are mostly closed in the winter... Allot of state parks are open year round, perhaps they would let you in.

Father Hennipin on the East side of Mille Lacs is a nice spot. I use the boat ramp in the winter, It stays open.
