I already got some new seats for my Otter 2man and as far as spending some money, I just want to go on a good trip this year and catch some big perch or some big crappies.

If I'm not fishing or hunting right now, you can bet that I\'m thinking about it!

I may have to purchase a new H2Oc. I can't find mine. I last remember using it for bear season and now can't find it anywhere. I've looked in hunting gear, the garage, all over the house, and all the vehicles. I did take the Hot maps sd card out while bear hunting and do have that at least. I just don't know wht the heck I did with the gps. Hope I didn't leave it in the woods somewhere but I'm starting to think I did. Either that or set it down somewhere just stupid at the house.
If it wasn't for trout fishin', my wife would have a husband.

I'm stuck working in Thief River Falls.  I just ordered a pile of jigs and spoons, and 2 Thorne Bros. panfish rods.  Everything should be on my doorstep when I get home this weekend. ;)

Finely spent some money on an ATV, so I don't have to walk so far anymore.  Getting old sucks.

Oh god, where to start...?

- Exkimo Quickfish 2
- 4 Abu Garcia Cardinal 300u's, new line for them
- Jigs
- 2 Thorne Bros Panfish Sweethearts

Still to come
- 2 Thorne Bros Walleye Sweethearts
- Lindy Darters
- Garmin 60csx and LakeMaster MN Pro chip

I got sick of cheap rod combos, so I decided to just go all out.

The panfish sweethearts have a 6" walleye handle on them (I like the feel better than the shorter handles) and are 24", the walleye sweethearts will have the walleye handle and be cut to 26".  Picking up the panny rods thursday, i'll get pics when the reels are on.

Also, thanks to Skipper for the tension tape idea instead of using electrical tape for the reels.

Yes I did Skipper, any tips for when I get to wrapping these reels on or do I just put it where I want it and tape away?

Stretch it out good, the longer you pull it the better it sticks. It is really weird stuff.

I like to use good ol' hockey tape like the kind you put on your hockey stick! The stuff comes in black or white and is made to be in ice conditions, I have used it for years to tape my reels on!

find where it sits best in your hand and tape away. I use hockey tape as well. It is made for the ice and to ensure a good grip, cant ask for anything better

I found some Ice Armor knock off bibs at Sportsmans Guide.  Gave 'em to my wife to put under the tree.  I also got a sled cover at the end of last year.  It's still in the original plastic.  We'll see how well it keeps the snow and slush kicked up by the snowmobile out of the sled

Polaris Xplorer 425 ATV, racks, auger brace and tow bar
New chisel
Otter sled
Jigs
Frabill rod
New Hat (worth every penny of the $10 I spent on it)
I need to get a chip for the Dakotas for my spring trip to Devils Lake

All to catch a few fish . . . but worth it.

A Thorne Bros. power noodle that was 10 percent off during their moving sale and a 28" perch sweetheart for 19.99 at Scheels in Fargo (must have been a mis-mark, but they gave it to me for the price).
Now hopefully I get that Clam Summit I asked for Christmas and I'm set  ;D

Well...maybe a gas auger, too...but time will tell  ;)

I was shocked too. I went in there yesterday and they had about 10 in stock. Couldn't believe my eyes. Might go back tonight and check out the walleye rod they had there...looked sweet.  8)

Amen.  ;) But the perch sweetheart I got was the only one marked down. I'm guessing it was a mess-up, but I talked to a sales associate before I bought it and he said, "yup, that's the price." Looked it over for defects but didn't see anything. Oh well, time will tell...
