Hey guys, where are you finding the sylvan beach cam? The ones I am able to find aren’t working
Everything in the past is a blurr….except the fishing. That’s still clear as black ice

I sent out an email about the Sylvan Beach web cams being down and got a reply:

Thank you for letting us know.  We are working on getting the web cameras back on line as soon as possible. Thank you for your patients!  Happy New Year!

They just got someone off the ice in front of the breakwall in town, heard on the radio they didn't fall through. Had the airboat from brewerton come, by the time it got there they were off the ice. Be careful, the geese have a swimming spot 200 yards out. I saw 20 trucks at Taft yesterday, some out quite a ways, I think it is sketchy as hell. Remember the closest airboat is brewerton, so you will have a wait for your ride if you go through.

For the record it was me and there was no issue at all. Somebody from Mill St called the fire department saying somebody was through the ice up to their chest. I have to imagine they saw my kids falling on the ice over and over again ice skating.

And if someone doesn’t go first, nobody would ever go.

My oldest jigged up this one tonight.

I was saying that to my brother in law, I said the guy was probably fishing till dark and someone called. There is an open spot out to the right at the access. It was probably the new people in Pierces house, that is the only house that is on Mill street. Glad you were just fishing, I figured something was up when you walked in.

Warm up and rain, which is, what it is doing in Brewerton at the moment, will most likely rot that ice.
