Silver lake wilmington
« on: Feb 11, 2015, 07:26 AM »
Does anyone plan to fish silver lake this weekend? Would love to get out and meet some new friends. I was there just before all the snow and had done well on the jigging rod. There was about 7-8 in of black ice.

Went there a couple of times a few weeks ago. A bit slower than the past few years. If we decide to head out there this weekend I will let you know.

It was a slow day this past Saturday and the parking lot was not plowed so there was a spot to fit 2 cars maybe 3. My buddy and 1 got a couple flags. He caught a small bass. I caught the fish of the day!! It was a monster size pickerel!! as soon as I figure how to get the picture from my facebook page to here I will show you guys.

It worked fine-nice fish. I also like the snow shoe's but I'm more impressed with the fact your wearing the ice picks. I too always have mine on no matter how thick the ice is!!

Thanks and I always wear my ice picks. You never know when you are going to need them and besides it makes my wife happy knowing I have them.

I went there yesterday and no parking at all. The parking lot had 5' of snow! So I went to a pond in haverhill with clear access and only 3 to 6" of snow and caught 16 decent size crappies.

I was in the area with my wife and drove in.
Saw your hut and the other guys in the cove. They had a flag while we stopped.
