I was fishing the pond at maumee bay state park this evening and there was 2 inches or so on the ice there, there wasnt any wind really either so it should have stuck on the lake.
Funniest thing about ice fishing for me is when people who know nothing about ice activities try to warn me about the dangers of the ice...

We took sleds last night, it's mostly snow covered but there are small patches of clear ice.

Planning to be out form CSP tomorrow with my quad with chains.  Sorry to add to this post, but my account got messed up and now I need to make several post before I can see fishing reports.

There's some snow on the ice today. Enough that there is both atvs and snowmobiles out

Some snow here and there a few inches at best, some areas of bare ice, and 8 inches of ice in many areas.

Came off at 5:30 a lot of the snow was melted but the rain turned to snow at 4pm.  It was snowing pretty hard when we left.  Thank god for the gps.    We rode our sleds u should be fine with a sled or wheeler.       Mark

Your sled should do fine on the ice.

Besides the machine use, will this be too much weight on the ice, making for lots of water out the holes or ? I'm still learning Erie ice. Thanks for any advice on what to expect. No ice growth with these cold temps? More danger spots hidden? All of the above?  ;D
