I was out on Leazenby Sun. and ice was 4-6" temps have been in the forties last couple days and below freezing at nights. The question is do you think it would be worth driving out there in the morning or do you think ice has deteriorated?

if its six inches and in the teens at night, I would prob venture out there.....  bring some rope, a life jacket and take baby steps....

The 4" and forties during the day i would be weary. But like turdy said 6" and teens at night be careful but it could be safe.

Ya the lake is like 4' deep so definitely not life and death.  Think I will head for the hills and fish up in the mountains...

Sorry about my cautionary post of last night on using a spud to proof first ice safety offended a fellow from Laurel, and resulted in a Mod whack from the great state of Pennsylvania and the deletion of same. Anyone interested in that, well, too bad, it's gone. Darwin will take care of those in doubt.

So did you hit Leazenby Taz?  We are heading up to Owen on Saturday.  Maybe Hanging lake as well.

nah woke up yesterday with the flu... I heard you can't get to hanging they got the road closed. I will be somewhere this weekend don't know where yet
