I use it on two jigging setups. Also use high vis on a crappie setup for open water. Don’t think it has made my catch go down.

I used the tangerine Sufix Ice Magic for a few years but switched after finding that Trilene Ice seemed to be much tougher for the same diameter.  I imagine that it didn't impede bites in most situations.  I now use a high vis Trilene in 2 or 3 lb with a 4-5 foot 3 lb fluorocarbon leader.

I was skeptical of using it at first but am glad I made the switch.  I still have a few of my panfish rods rigged with clear line, but am loving the better bite detection with the colored line.  It's definitely easier to spot tiny/subtle movements that don't register on the rod tip.

I have a couple rigged with the green trilene..helps see it on the ice ect..have a fluoro leader so don't notice any difference in fish bites etc..actually caught my PB pike on the green line rod last week as well as many walleye in the same day..

I am another that likes to use the Berkeley solar green for mainline.
Floro for leader.
My eyes do better seeing any tangles from reel to water.
Helps me also on bite detection.

That's primarily what I use on my panfish rods. The original Stren gold in 2lb was the best but it's only made in their crappie line which I think is a bit different. I use it because you can see your line down the hole and pick up bites that most won't if you're not a line watcher. Haven't ever noticed where the fish have ever shyed away from it even in gin clear water. It also is much easier for us old guys to tie knots, lol!

Never been a fan of high vis line. I know it's a contentious topic but I'm in the "Fish can be line shy" camp.
Regardless of the fish's point of view, even in my late 50s I am blessed with eye sight that allows me to see the tiniest dimple from a 7× fly tippet. I've never encountered a presentation where I couldn't see my line well enough (in day light obviously) to require high vis line.

Flouro is harder for me to see but I don't use it for a main line very often.

I use lines that are clear as day. I don't watch my line for a bite like others so I don't need the Hi-Vis. I'm mostly watching the tip of my rod and feeling the bite.

I've used hi viz gold  for as long as I can remember.   Used Stren until they stopped making the 2lb ice line.  Have been using ASSO Diamond gold now for years, great line.

That's what I like about it, I prefer to just pinch a kink in the line and watch that instead of using a spring bobber, high vis makes seeing the kink easier, my catch rate hasn't had any notable difference. If anything it has gone up because I'm seeing those light or up bites.

Do any of you use high viz line for panfish and tie direct without using a floro leader?  I've used it in stained water and loved it but always been leery of trying it in clear water.

They dont care. I use whatever I have, if I have to buy line and there is a hi-viz option I will get it.

Last week I was jigging and had two deadsticks set for perch/crappie next to me. I had my two dead sticks facing eachother, about 2.5' apart on a flat. Both rigged identical and minnows hooked identical. One had 4# orange sufix ice, one had 2# clear that I cant remember what brand. Both had equal bites and caught equal fish. Water was clear, wouldn't call it gin clear.. but I could see down 5-6 feet.

It was called trilene cold weather. I wasn't a fan of it, seemed to get stiff where trilene ice and regular trilene xl did not.
