I've got 4ah batteries with my Gen 2 clam plate and its a little awkward to get them off the drill to recharge them. For you guys running the bigger 9 ah batteries, is this even worse, maybe to the point of having to remove the drill??

I don't have any problems, of course, I'm not popping them on and off quite as often as i use to since it takes a while to drain one down.

No problems here, I think my grandson could do it, take your time, not even close to taking drill off on mine !!

I run the Milwaukee 5 ah batteries with the plate. No issues getting them off. Just need one hand to squeeze the battery tabs, and the other to catch it when its loose. You get used to the setup and it becomes easier.
May depend on what drill you are using on the plate, but I think the Dewalt is about the same - hold the tabs, slide the battery off.
