Eskimo Stingray 33 carb adjustment
« on: Jan 16, 2021, 09:27 PM »
Hello all,

I bought my stingray 3 years ago and have had a fair share of problems with it running. I have always ran Aspen fuel in it. This year I changed the carb on it as it's cheaper to buy a new one then a rebuild kit. The new one I bought has an adjustment screw. I thought I had it set today. Took it fishing and drilled a 15 holes. It seemed to bog down at full throttle until I got 6-7 holes drilled. Ran okay for the other ones. I shut it off and fished, but when I went to drill more holes, it started but only ran for 45 sec and just shut off. Checked the plug and it was soaked. Changed the plug and it started, then 45 secs it stopped and that plug was soaked. Obviously getting too much fuel, but have no idea how to set the air/fuel mixture screw. Can anyone give me any advice?

Thanks

If you cheaped out and bought a china carb over a oem carb or oem carb rebuild kit have fun trying to get it tuned right.those carbs are cheap for a reason...junk.
