Stuff works great and like you said it's very durable with great action. There is a company out there marketing them in different colors beavertailbait.com
I have a beaver tail wallet that's pretty cool.... Never would have thought of using the fat for bait.
Has anybody else ever tried using the fat out of a beaver tail as bait??? I tried tipping my jig with it this past Sunday and I was completely amazed at how well it work. I caught over 30 dinks with it and never had to change the fat. It is very versatile and does not come off the hook. I also caught gills and trout with it. Would like to hear if there is any other success stories using beaver tail fat.
not for fish, but it's great for Fisher, fox, and coyotes..
Any pictures of how big you cut the fat?
What species are you targeting? I assume you can cut the chunks big or small enough to suit whatever you’re fishing for, just curious if perch would go for it.

Don't be like me, the instructions for the Gullickson beaver tail bait say to refrigerate for storage. Mine were just kept in my ice fishing bucket and turned brown over the summer. Store them right to use year after year.
