I just drove around the entire lake;spotty skim ice & lots of open water, north of the island. The bible conf. is iced over but I did not check it.Guys have been walking out on 2nd. bay, from the salon,& made it out to the smelt grounds there.I checked the ice at the end of the dock,it was about 4" of not too good stuff, but it held me ;D. I am going to wait a few more days before I try it.This freezing rain is nocking that snow right down,so this may be a good thing. My car thermometer read 31-32 degrees all the way around,so it is staying cold right now,but lets see what happens.

There sure are some crazy people with no common sense these two guys on the cam are not even poking along with a spud. Some people have no hope.

Must be either stoned, stupid or starving.

We can rule out stoned.  I stopped by 3 times so far this year and haven't gotten on it yet.

We didn't get to much snow I don't think it will affect the ice that much.  We will see.

Weather channel is saying no more significant accumulation till wednesday but who knows and with a 17 mile an hour wind hopefully it will blow most of it off the lakes.

There is no way the north end is safe right now.  It wasn't even completely locked up a few days ago.

It was very close to locking up before the freezing rain.  It shouldn't be to long now.
