Cold snowy winter pattern could bring hot summer?

I live in the midwest now but have fond memories of fishing in New England as a kid.

Back in the beginning of winter Joe B. of Accuweather predicated an almost nonexistent winter from late Dec. to late Feb. :whistle:     than cold in March and April. If he gets the second part right He'll be at 50%     :clap:

the way it looks these past couple of winters, it is fading slowely but surely and the time is coming to move further north.

Don't be too quick to jump ship Miket, according NOAA,. sea ice last Sept. was at its lowest in 30 years opening up the north west passage. But since than , sea ice has gone wild with over 2 million square kilometer more ice than the last 3 years. Also Jan. 08 was the first time in nearly 100 months that average global temps. were below normal. Maybe the trend is going the other way now? :thumbsup:

Listened to a science report today on Serious Sat. Group of Canadian scientist reporting forget warming, evidence points to "ice age type" cooling! Had a convincing set of stats, including those posted here.
