Title: Lake X Deep Water Walleye
Post by: PCB on Jan 25, 2009, 05:25 PM
Just wanted to throw this scenario out there to hopefully get some advice.  This coming weekend I will be fishing lake X for walleyes.  It is a very deep lake (150' +) and the sides are sharp drops (mountain reservoir).  I have caught eyes in 60 fow + in a channel before, but now the lake is in drawdown for dam repair.  From what I have heard the lake is down 50' or so.  I will be running live bait on tip ups as I do have much for jigging.  Can anyone offer advice on what to look for to target these eyes?  Sorry... no electronics unless I might be able to borrow from a friend.

fish 20 feet or less on the edges of the sharp drop offs, or off points & rockpiles.
