Not too far from winni... Crystal in gilminton iron works, easy 3 dozen shiner place, plus jigging yellows, can get bass and pickeral, bow every now and then... Took my son there every other trip from 6-10 just to make sure he got hooked... Now at 12 he asked to go for lakers, bows, cusk... But only because he never got bored early!

Not sure what it is like now but there was some parking off the road by that bridge earlier this year.  There is always the Bellamy in Dover, plenty of Crappie in there.
A watched lake never freezes.

If you can get on Pine River Pond that is a great place you'll see so much action your head will be spinning!
I will miss my wife this winter, I'll see her in the spring!

How about Pemigewasset Lake in Meredith right off of Exit 23.  Plenty of perch, pickeral, and bass in there!  Public access at canoe launch off 104.

The best access is at the end of Hook Mill Rd in Madbury.

Fond memories of fishing Crystal in Gilmanton IW as a child. Plenty of fish in the lake. Some great smallmouth too. Caught all my 'first's' of the warm species there. Pickerel and perch in the south end by the bridge. Bass and now bows are up in the main body of the Lake. Set up on top of the 'sunken island' off of what used to be the Dimmocks Camps at Crystal Springs, when life was good.
