Amazing Day at Carbuncle
« on: Mar 02, 2008, 06:09 PM »
We cut the cord and ventured away from Smithfield with the usual suspects. Great day of solid fish of all species. The grilled Salmon was terrific.

If you guys are serious about fishing at carbuncle I am glad you did not get caught as the season ended on the last day of feb.  If you did fish there that right there is funny I don't care who are.  Get her done!!!!!!

Did you litterally go swimming or is that just saying the ice was realy thin.  I went for my last trip in RI today it was a very productive day but sad as I know it is over for me in RI.  Time to look for sheds.

That is not a fun day.  I got a good forward momentum going toady and when I hit the shore I was a happy happy man.  The edges for about 25 feet was about 2 inch when I got on and when I left all I can say is crack crack creek crack creek.  I had the old lifepreserver on this morning until I made my trails to my tilts with my spikes so I knew I was safe.  The things we do to catch those toothy critters and just let them go again.  People think were nuts. It is all over for me.  I guess its better to wade of then it is to wade on unless there is 8 inches out there to get on get a plank get the waders hell with it get the boat.  HA LOL LOL
