Hello Everyone,

Another great day on the Stump. Although the flags were fewer than last year, the sun was out, no wind and a great time had by all. Registration began early, 4:15am and by start time everyone was pre-drilled and ready to go. We had a total of "88" entries, of which 32 were Shantonians. Here's how it broken down:

1st Place - John Bonner (aka Imissdem) 12 lb. 15 oz. pike - $440.00
2nd Place - Wild Bill Nordan (aka Tightline) 12 lb. 11 oz. pike - $220.00
3rd Place - Jeff Fantoli 12 lb. 02 oz. pike - $220.00

Special Thanks:

Ed Duffy (Remax Realty) (aka Steady Eddie) - for keeping the parking lots plowed out
Ron Gendron (Greenville Ready Mix) - for removing the first wave of heavy snow in the lots with his pay-loader
Lisa & Mike (East Coast Masonry of Johnston) - for the use of the snowmobile, without that the tourney would have been a failure
Brian (Big O's Bait, Smithfield) - for being on call and "delivering" bait when needed
Billy Nordan (aka Tightline) - for the use of the ATV and the Ice Tourney sign in the parking lot

And Rich (aka Mt.Man), Mike (aka Bulldog), Billy (aka Tightline) and Bob (aka (The B.O.B. (bag of beer)) for being my wing men in getting this tourney together and for the great times at the point every weekend

"Imissdem" with the winner 12 lb 15 oz

"Tightline" with the 2nd place 12 lb 11 oz (miss by 4 oz)

Jeff Fantoli with 3rd place 12 lb 2 oz

Jason King with runner up (10 lb 13oz)

Luke Howard with the family 9 lb 2 oz (this is what its all about, passing it on!)

And of course part of the gang at the point

Catch and release. Cabin Fevor had the cell we were to call and came on over with the snow mobile to weigh them in.

Nice fish. Guys next to us had to have had the strangest of the day. Think Cabin said it was a 4lb pike but when they pulled it up they also had an old fishing pole attached too. Was pretty funny, it was a big pole too.

That guy behind you, Imissedem, looks shady

Thanks for a great day.Special thanks to you Kenny.Missed last years tourney but sure glad i didnt miss this one.Had a great crew over by the condos.Thanks for coming up from Narragansett Guys.Looking foward to end of the season party.I will post some pics later on.Need Helpwith that......Looks like this will pay for my Winni Trip/Sled Registration.......Tha nks again everyone.John

I'm glad I was fortunate enough to be there to see you catch it.
You deserve to win, you put your time in and It payed off. BIG TIME $$$$.
At lease my 15.13 lb. record stands undefeated.

NICE PIKE! Lucky guy to win and earn $$. its look like alot of FUN! I wish i able to go that tourment! damn it!! I was glad that everything are going so smooth! next year I really hopeful I able to go for sure! I cant stand to miss it again!

We had a great time at the grinder. The kids were bummed when our 9 lbs. 2oz. got bumped from 3rd place in the last hour. oh well, maybe next year..
