Garmin striker 4dv

Is this unit the same as the striker 4 that's currently sold in store? How is the sonar option for ice fishing? Thanks in advance.

Yup it's the same.  Just has down imaging capabilities with the right transducer.  But for ice fishing it would matter if your using a ice transducer.
