Walleye trip help
« on: Dec 12, 2017, 07:38 PM »
Hello fellow fishermen. I am reaching out for some help. My father myself and our friend have wanted to do a trip to Lake Erie for a couple years but obviously the weather plays a key factor. While we know we gotta wait for a good winter and Lake Erie freeze over I’ve done a little research and the number of guides to choose from is enourmous. We’re from New York so the idea we’ve always had was to get a guide for one day as we’ve never been there before and then stay a couple more days and head out more on our own after that. Basically I’m curious if anyone can recommend a guide or area that’s best to go to. Main area I’ve looked at is Port Clinton. Any info is much appreciated.

Hello mdm25549:

I have posted a link below to a gentleman that charters both soft and hard water and is pretty good at his craft.

There is another web site that you may want to look at:

http://www.ohiogamefishing.com

It has some good fishing reports both for soft and hard water fishing.

Thanks guys I appreciate the recommendations. I’m hoping we get a good ice year. Winter sucks even when it’s a warm one. Might as well be cold and be able to ice fish
