Headed up there on Sunday. Ice wasn't as thick as I was hoping. Most places was about 5 inches, but we came across 3 inches as well. Still a lot of open water in the middle of the lake. The most we ventured was 30 yards from shore and it was about 4 inches off Army point. Some burbot came through and my buddy caught a 32 incher. Didn't see any lakers though.

How much snow was on the lake and did you go down to the public access at dinty lake.

There was about 1 inch of snow on the ice. I did go down to the Dinty Lake access but didn't check the ice on Dinty. There was open water on Louise due to the drainage into Dinty. What type of fish are in there?

Same fish that are in Louise.  Was hoping to walk into Larson bay this weekend but now maybe not.  We need a good week of 30 below to finish locking everything up I am so ready to drag the shack out.

I was guessing that was the case. I will be heading back up again Friday night through Saturday morning, but staying close to the shoreline yet. Last year was my first year fishing the lake. I haven't hit Larson Bay yet. I've only got a couple months to fish it this year so I'll be hitting it hard early in the season. I'll give you an update so you can hopefully get your shack out soon!
