Horseshoe Lake
« on: Jan 29, 2016, 01:56 PM »
Anyone ever fish Horseshoe Lake, south of Big Lake?  Looking for some decent pike. Fished fire, long (willow) and big lake and wanting to try something different that may have more Pike... Any reports or thoughts would be much appreciated.  It looks like a pretty Pikey area if you ask me...

I've been out there three times. Very dingy water in most places. Have caught trout but haven't seen any pike. Haven't chased them though either.

From what I saw it was mostly muddy bottom, but next to the drainage in the center of the lake there was nothing but weeds.

Fish the edge of said weeds.  That's where we catch them in the summer
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day.  Teach a man to fish and he steals your spot!
