glide lite advice
« on: Oct 22, 2017, 12:25 PM »
I am looking for some advice. I have a glide lite sled, with 5 gallon bucket intended for bait use, and was wondering if anybody had any ideas on where to store my polar tip up traps (5 of them) without having them slosh around on the inside around the bucket. thank you in advance.

HT has a liner for a bucket where the traps have their own pockets on the outside of the bucket.

if used, the bucket will not fit in bucket hole. any holder would have to be on the inside of the bucket or on the side of the sled.

So far, in my career of ice fishing, the best things that I have bought have been my Nils 8" auger, my 4T Polar Bird  and my Marcum fish finder. Of course after that has been a 4X4 ATV, snowmobile, all kinds of traps and rods, heaters, lights jigs and hooks, bait traps, ice armor clothes, licenses and other assorted equipment. When I die you want to come to my wife's yard sale, because she hasn't an idea what the stuff is worth. ;D

Not here!  My will leaves my boat and all of my fishing gear to my grandson!   No yard sale here.

add this to the side

https://www.farmandfleet.com/products/809650-beaver-dam-bucket-brackets.html

This was the first thing that came to my mind. Again, this is another hard to find item locally. Beaver Dam doesn't have much market share here in the northeast, and its sort of an obscure product. Were clearancing them off.

grabbed one of them on amazon for 12.99. got it on the side now, led light strip on the front to light the holes and my way on/off the ice., more to come though. im looking to make a door for the big open space before the bucket... as always suggestions welcome!

???  glide lite looks too small and tippy to me.  I have to negotiate a couple of 20 degree slopes to get to my favorite ice spots.  Even with my jet sled I have to rope it down the slope carefully.
Nothing worse than two dozen shiners and gear scattered over the ice at the bottom of the slope :'(
