i am going to be using a diamond jig to jig for crappie. it is the pink colored one. what should i use for bait. i have meal worms, moosies, small and medium shiners. some of the small shiners are red ones. which should i use.

bring it all. Let the fish tell you which bait is better. I generally wouldn't jig a shiner. I suppose a small shiner would be fine.

I always try live first...when it doesn't produce I go to dead: minnow head or body/tail section.
