Charger gets pretty warm while charging , normal ? How long does it take to charge from flat dead ? Been on charger for 2 1/2 hours and still red . Sent in once already and they replaced magnetic charger cord . Not even a year old with little use . How much run time are you guys getting ? Thanks for your time .

I've had this same camera unit for 2 years. The overall unit is ok, but it has issues. The battery life is very poor, with as little as 2.5 hours on a full charge. I have sent the unit in to be looked at and a new battery installed and run time remains similar. Also, the magnetic charging connection is a very poor idea IMO, as it doesn't stay well with any movement. For the price paid for this unit (higher end cost) it is functional but but not the level of performance I expected.

Bummer , this could be so much better .

Agreed.

I can run 6 hours at least and never had an issue with the magnetic power adapter. It's not moving anyway when it's charging...great unit and I love the portability and quick setup and deployment.

i,m with missoula, no problem with magnet, runs long time. mine does take a VERY long time to charge if i run it dead. (think overnite!) but i,m sleeping anyway, so don,t seem like a problem to me. wire

I wonder if I have a setting on different than some of you that are getting 6 hours of run time. Like I said, I sent it in to Aqua View for a new battery and any maintenance needed, got it back at the beginning of last year and still only get about 2.5 hours of use on a full charge. Charger cord "works", but a firmer connection than magnet guards against potential movement, and I don't see any advantage.

I also get 5/6 hours run time out of full charge.
and have a cord for external battery for charging on the ice.
what do you use to hold camera still, clocked in same repeatable direction?
i seem to be messing with that more than I like .
I have their little tripod deal, which sucks

I just end up having the display in my sled and wrap the cable around something to get the camera aimed the direction I want. It isn't optimal but it works.

I use this setup for my camera. Cable runs thru rubber stopper I can turn.
