bait around St. Albans
« on: Mar 02, 2021, 01:22 PM »
Coming up from central VT tomorrow AM early to fish around St. Albans.  Traveling up 89.  Any spots to get get live bait in the morning not too far out of the way?  I have seen a few places that sell it but don't open until 9AM.  Looking for small/medium stuff.  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Don't know the name of the place but he's on the Dunsmore rd. just north of hathaway point rd. He also buys fish. Has a poster at the Bay Store . Sure miss Steve's place on chubb st. in the bay.

Call before, And don’t expect them to be open on time.

Caught about 100 yellows.  No whites.  I kept about 20 that were 8" or over.  Biggest was 12".  Non stop action jigging but couldn't get into any pods of more consistent big fish.  Went out of park with steep ramp just north of Van Everest.

The bait shop on Densomore road is closed.  Went there yesterday.  They were not open so I called the number on the door.  Sounds like they are closed for good.
