Green Dump conditions

How bad is the snow and slush? It's an hour plus drive or I'd check it out myself. Thanks

I was at the State Park early this AM and it was great walking, a couple of inches of snow on top everything was frozen but by the time I left it was starting to soften up, looks like by  later in the week w/the warm temps you could be looking at several inches of slush. Now it appears that we're not getting the close to 0 temps overnight that had been forecast so the suck is incoming. Still a solid 12" of ice though. Tight lines!

more importantly how is the smelt bite?

I tried it one night until 1030 or so like a week and a half ago n

with lights , a flasher, all the accoutrements if you will

and we got embarrassed
I'm not saying they're biting on Brant.  But they probably are

I was there last Thursday at 5AM, not targeting Smelt, and actually caught 24 of them just before sunrise. Yet another part of this weird season.
