Ice is good. Over 10”. Walking has been bad there. Crust with 3” + of slush and slop under that you can’t help but fall through.  Saw some trucks struggling to get off and a 4 wheeler get stuck on Saturday. Fishing has been ok for me but as I said getting around was a bit of a chore. Parking lot was packed but you can always find a spot somewhere there.
Good luck tight lines

Heading up tomorrow. I usually fish the New York side but want to try a spot on the VT side. Would we be ok parking on the ny side and crossing the channel on a Wheeler or should I get on at Larabees?
Can I go fishing? Unless it’s on Brant, I can’t.

Out here now. There’s plenty of ice and I’ve been seeing sleds and wheelers come back from the ny side but I’m on foot so can’t say from experience . Slop and snow froze up nice on top . Much better walking than a few days ago. Good luck

Can keep ya posted there’s still plenty of ice. Not the greatest cuts quite easily lots of white mixed in but every night this week looks below freezing should b good. Get there early place was a zoo last weekend ended up fishing elsewhere. Lots of people from New Hampshire fishing southern Champlain last weekend for some reason. I’m talking more than half the vehicles where I was were from out of state

Careful by the pressure cracks, even if you are walking.

The one right off the point?  My friend set not too far from it and it was all solid. Def an ankle breaker if it get covered up with snow though.  Wouldn’t drive a machine or vehicle across it that’s for sure

Hopefully he’s alright that must’ve been scary. Def time to be cautious the ice south of the bridge is not great quality even thought there is a lot of it and the good clear ice north of the bridge is much thinner.
 Stay safe!

I've been fishing miles north if the bridge no problems.  Ice definitely thins but not to a point of concern.

Open water at the ferry. Some ice at Larabees but I wouldn’t walk on it. Looks open out in the center still. No 1 has fished from the looks of it. Supposed to be a cold stretch so maybe it will lock up in the next week or so.
