Joes pond pike
« on: Feb 18, 2021, 08:30 AM »
Anyone had any luck for pike in the last few years? I want to fish the back shallower area but unsure of how to access it. Not looking to travel over the deep water on crappy slushy ice! Tight lines

I have heard there are pike in Joes pond, I have fished that pond for over 20 years and never caught a northern out of there. I usually fish up near the islands it's shallow and weedy around the edges great place to find northerns I would think but we have only caught perch and pickerel.

Is it legal to fish the “loon hole”? Looks like it feeds Joes pond. I’d be willing to bet there’s pike in there.

Check this out. This is why I think that. If I can’t make it there via the ice I will in my kayak this spring

There are very few like in Joe's Pond. I've only caught one in many outings over the years. Better luck with pike at Marshfield Dam.
