We picked up a 29”, 8lber on outer Mallets bay today. Had 3 others shake loose on the way up, 2 were tanks.

Outer mallets bay is a great spot to try.. Access is pretty tough unless you have a wheeler or sled.. Some drive their truck on from the launch or mills point.. But I wouldn't this time of year. The ice is going the other way.. I've caught them in 15' all the way down to 80+'..

Missisquoi bay. Pretty hard to beat for action.

For Lakers or Northern?

Not a single laker up there....

If you caught a laker in missquoi bay I'd buy a lottery ticket on the way home ::)

Could be a Canadian laker! I hear they prefer the shallows! haha

Does anyone have any suggestion on where to park to get onto Outer Malletts Bay? The lot on Mills Point? Assuming you're not coming all the way around from the inner bay, the only place with public access on the Colchester side is Causeway Park, right?

Shelburne bay is also a good spot.. I know a guy that fishes them shallow (15-20') and does great on tip ups and jigging rattle baits..
