The gate is open at Cohen park in st.albans town . Usually have good luck off the north end of the island . going to give it a try next week...too much wind today

Thanks for the news. Did you notice if anyone was fishing? Wondering how thick the ice is. I didn't know the shore was caught.
I drove to Shelburne Bay yesterday (Sunday 2/8). There was ice past the first point and a few people out fishing. I might go this afternoon to see how thick the ice is and maybe give it a try.

My friend told me the gate was open and several people were out. I myself have not been down there yet...but after no luck at Van Everest yesterday I'll be going there next time out

finally got to the island for the first time . What a nice day. Caught some fish but the bite was slow and the fish were small . A coupe people had a lot of tip ups out . That full moon is pretty but seems to kill the fishing .
