trap has over 8000 post looks like u got 23 think hes reported ice conditions a bit more and hes just having fun,,,, hopefully ice will be here soon nothing on oneida is good as of now as far as ice goes

Nope traps not just having fun. He's a miserable old man who is never wrong. His way or the high way learned that first hand.  Called me a liar on something he wasn't there for
If you sit around all day and do nothing your a bum, but if you sit in a boat all day or in a shanty and do nothing they call you a fisherman

KP the perch I caught last Monday  95% of them came on the decoy including the 3 eyes I took the chains off but I  saved them
The other 5% came on a no 3 rap
I really like how far the decoys  can be drifted where most can’t ,

I had 1 year where I caught some of those too, but I had a great uncle that did really well on them all the time in a smallish state pond .....

I've caught a few bullheads whenever I visit a particular area during nice weather (similar to recent trends). I have tried to target them a couple times with no luck-just hit and miss.

Yeah I would think you might really have to be on top of them - not sure if this is true or not but I don't picture them moving around much in the winter .... could be way off base though .... I make some stuff up as I go  .... LOL

wow lake  neawanna  had opened right up  last night it was open today skimmed over with some snow on top

my offical ice report i stepped on ice  went right threw ice looked to be about a quarter inch thick  how ever  this is a estimation as i didn't have a tape measure handy ......i can not report on how the bite was as the water where i was standing was shallow! i personally would advice not attempting to fish this lake i have a feeling it is no safe to  do! ....this is a opinion of course ..... final  note the byrne dairy across the street has fresh coffee and excellent sandwiches

i have now completed my duty and given my first ice report in a long time  ....please no one drive  2 hours to fish this lake ....... not bad for a miserable old man now was it???.................... :roflmao:
