Thanks for all the comments everyone, it was a fun trip. It's about 250 miles north of where I live, we take the ride every year, can't wait till the next trip.

It's native. I didn't think this lake had ever been stocked with brookies, but wasn't sure so I just checked the stocking reports for the last 3 years, and brooktrout were not on the list for this lake. They may have been added in earlier years, not sure. They have added whitefish though, but I've never caught one there.
