Finally got out and did some fishing, here's some pics from yesterdays trip with Robb, Upstate and Jay

Jay's salmon caught jigging

and me with a little laker

We had a great time out there and caught about 15 lakers and 1 salmon,
I also got out on saturday by myself and caught a bunch of gills (no photos)
nice to meet you Bartman and Marbury, I'll bet those gills were tasty

I alwyas wanted to catch a laker but i dont know of any ponds around me that have the specices...i want to catch a salmon soo bad this year, hopefully i can get him...

he just hit it like a tons of bricks then he was gone

two seconds later wham it hit jays jig like a mack truck that is where jay won the fight ..... it was one nice day up there cant wait till the next norther expidition

lol, yeah I know what you mean, most of the trout were only 12" or so and we only had the 1 keeper, but it was fun jigging them up anyway

We got out again this last weekend,Robb, Upstate, Caroga Kid and Jay, had an awesome day in the adirondacks jigging up smelt and lakers

Here's some pics

Chef Robb at the grill cooking that venison and smoked sausage, you cant beat that!

Caroga and I caught a couple fat lakers, his had 23 smelt in its belly when he cleaned it, mine went 5 1/2 lbs, both fish put up one heck of a fight!

just look at this vex all lit up with lakers, they where everywhere!

just kidding, it was smelt

we caught about 500 smelt jigging

Another great weekend on the ice! Its tournament time this weekend on Caroga Lake so we'll see how we do

Nice pics Ozzy, as always you capture the perfect images! I think the one of me cooking is where I lost all the hair on my hand LOL from the smoked sausage!! On this Saturday's menu I am certain there will be a huge pot of venison stew or chilli

We headed out for the weekend to the Caroga Lake tourney, had a great time but the weather didnt cooperate, my gear still isnt dry!

Here's Caroga Kid and Coldbums set up in the fog

The crappie slayers, Upstate and Jay with some very nice slabs

I got 2nd place in the pickeral category, jigged up this 22 3/4" pickeral on mono just before the end of the tourney

My dad finally made it out for his first trip, always nice to fish with dad

I was chumming the holes with Beck's, it works great! bet you didnt know that

Here's a new toy I just picked up, the Arctic Warrior, works awesome as a second line while jigging, caught a few pickeral on this as well

Well we all caught fish all day long, and it rained all day long, but hey we had a great time and no matter what the conditions are it sure beats sitting at home or working!!
I start my 2 week vacation this saturday, cant wait to get out on the hard stuff once again
