Question about Stump...
« on: Jan 18, 2013, 10:16 PM »
I've fished Stump several times on my boat but always across the street from the police station. Do any of you fish the other side? Not trying to steal anyone's spot just curious that's all. My buddy and I are gonna try and do the tourney this year we hope.  ???  Wednesday night single digits baby!!  :icefish:

I've icefished the other side a few years ago. Its shallow in several areas and I only caught few picks so I didn't return.

My girlfriend and I fished that side about 4 years ago... rather slow we did catch a samll pike, a few perch and pickerel... Being so narrow you can set up camp on shore out of the wind....

Had a big one snap me off under the bridge towards mountaindale road.
Setup 8 feet from shore.

Thanks...I think I'm gonna try going left off the boat launch and then out a bit if the ice gets good...but it all depends! Lincoln Woods was mostly water today and the waves were ripping the ice on the coves into the air because of the wind! I'm sure a lot of big ponds were the same way especially down in south county. The forecast looks good but hopefully Friday we don't get a ton of snow! :%$#!: :%$#!:
