What kind of darcon main line for tipup

Anyone use cortland trolling line?

Always used Mason tip up line but have been wondering about plain braid or would it absorb to much water.

I heard that guys use kite flying line and its the same as dacron line for a lot less but I havent ever seen it.

Don't know how to post link but "Into The Wind" kite shop in Boulder Co. has all the Dacron you could possibly imagine. Looking at 1,000ft of 30 lb for $17.

Thanks! Certainly does work I don't know if this is the kind of Dacron for tip ups but for the price it probably would be worth a try.

I use Woodstock tip up line - it’s all I’ve ever used so I don’t have much to compare it to, but it’s always treated me well.

I was using a thinner tip up line. Certainly strong enough but it would get tangled as I took in the line on the ice. I now use Woodstock. Slightly thicker line and does not tangle on the ice.
