next few days has forecast highs well above freezing so it will be very sketchy.  I may only go get for ice thickness only come around Thanksgiving day.

We have safe walking ice out here in SD, but I'll be in MN this weekend to see family. I was hoping to do some fishing, but it's almost sounding like some lakes might have only just frozen over this week. Now with the past couple days being warm I'm not so sure it will be good, but I'll give it a try anyway.

Saw a boat fishing Trout lake Coleraine yesterday 11/26. Saw reports of boats on Leech. There were people ice fishing a small pond by Grand Rapids.

I went to central MN for the weekend, and brought all my ice fishing stuff. Apparently I was dead wrong about that. Most lakes are wide open. The only things frozen are a few small bays. I figured maybe it was the warm weather, but when I went back to SD there were people ice fishing last night. Crazy how we had such similar weather, but apparently SD has been much colder. As of now I wouldn't suggest going ice fishing anywhere in MN except the northern part of the state. It's not worth it to risk it on 2"-3" in a bay.

Looking good here on the Iron Range.

Have you ever fished Nine Mile Lake near Finland, MN? My Dad used to take the family camping up there nearly 50 years ago.

Never been up there Skypilot. If you are looking for lake info, Try Minnesota DNR Lakefinder.
