forage fry jig

just got back for fishin and i put one on for the first time and in ten min bam 11 1/2 " crap.  anyone have any luck on this jig for them .  its made by northlands, forage fry

been using one all winter.caught plenty of crappies on it.
its my second choice.for me the forage minnow is the best.

Never used the fry been using the minnow with good catches. Good jig.

I like the forage fry jig, but I don't find the hook up ratio to be as good as the forage minnow.  It's better to get a bite than only get sniffers.

yesterday I was out on pymatuning and cought 2 10in crappie in 10 min of each other with one.

same thing happened when me and 2 buddys hit a new lake.he had forage fry and of coarse i have almost everything but the fry.he was getting hammered by big slabs with a fathead in the perch color.i tried the closet thing i had to it but just didnt work quite aswell.

I have been using a 1/16th oz slender spoon with good results pretty much the same type thing as the forage minnow. I tip the hook with a spike on each treble.

Usually the smaller one, but if it's big crappies then the larger one.

do you guys tip the hooks of the forage fry or minnow with anything?

Usually a crappie minnow or a waxie.  Sometimes a fathead for big crappies.

one of my all around go to lures, the stocked rainbow really tend to love them. caught my plenty of crappies, perch, gills, trout, and bass on them.

Just started using them with a minnow head on the treable caught lots of big crappie , perch and even a 4lb bass never thought they would work so good .

My favorite jig tipped with a mousie seems to catch everything.
