I am on Outer Mallet's Bay and it has only just began to lock up this morning. Hope this helps.

Outer Malletts Bay is frozen over 99% as of today. No one out fishing yet, though I am guessing there might be a few on the Inner Bay.
Might head out tomorrow if I am brave.

Inner bay only froze yesterday but maybe we will get lucky and it will stay locked up!

Anyone ever catch Lakers in malletts bay? My in laws have a place right on the water along E Lakeshore dr so I have convenient access. Never fished out there. I'm mainly looking for Lakers, salmon, and pike. Is it worth it?

There is a nice looking reef along that stretch of the bay that I have always wanted to try. Similar shaped reefs in the outer bay hold lake trout and occasionally have salmon swim through.

St. Albans is a bust.. 3" of clear ice but it was getting real soft.. I was pretty nervous on it.. Only fished for a half hour..
