Thanks for posting the pic meatandmetal. It was great getting to spend some time with you and Bamb. One thing i regret was not taking a picture of the entire group on Saturday. Too much excitement and skipped my mind. Here's a pic of some of the houses lined up at the launch ready for pull off. More pics and video's forth coming....
Hmph. Nobody came over and took a picture of my windbreak.
The Dark Side
Part 3 of our end of season ride continues....north end of the lake / clean up.
Hi JigginI'm heading to Newfound lake for the weekend for a family reunion. Staying on the lake. What can I fish for? Are Lakers and Salmon all down deep now? Any help is much appreciated.
Hello linebreaker,So i've actually only gone out a few times this season. Lakers were down around 35+ fow and haven't caught a salmon. I did speak to Green Ghost on Sunday and he said that they are far and few between. Maybe the bass are eating the ones stocked? They are looking into letting them grow a bit longer at the hatchery instead of releasing them around 1.5 years old, wait another 6 months or so before released.Rainbows are higher near the surface than the lakers, around 20 fow. I did some rising on the surface however not sure what they were. They say the small mouth bass fishing is really good on Newfound or maybe they are really big, i really don't know but there was a small tournament this past weekend on the lake. There seems to be quiet a few tournaments during the summer. There are some very nice yellow perch in the lake along with horn pout too.Catching lakers trolling at 1.5 mph'ish using db smelt, I was using green with black dots. Heard pink was pretty hot this year so far too.Good luck and enjoy the lake. Hopefully have some nice weather for you.
