Checked the ice thickness today but wasn't prepared to fish. Looks like at least 8". There were signs that somebody had fished there this weekend and a group was heading out as I was coming in. Plan on going Thursday to try it out . Would go tomorrow but the local bait shop is closed on Weds.

Anybody know if Maquam shore is caught near Popasquash?

I can drive by popsquach aftet work to check if nobody knows if it's fishable or not..

Tried Shelburne pond Thursday for 4 hrs. for perch. Had one bite. No fish. Checked out Popasquash yesterday (Friday) and it is frozen over. Saw the tracks of 2 sleds that had gone out (and made it back), but nobody was out there fishing and I hate being the only one out there. The gate was closed at Cohens but there is plenty of room to park on the side of the road. Went to St Albans bay and caught about 1/2 bucket of perch in about 3 hrs.  People next to me did even better.
