Summit Carry Bag Ripped

I got a new clam summit for Xmas and took it out for the first time this weekend.  When I went out I threw it on top of someones flip over.  I was the last one out and when I was carrying it in the carry strap ripped the fabric.  It did not rip the stiching the actual fabric tore.  How is clam for dealing with warranty stuff.  I got this as a gift so I do not have a purchase reciept.  Will this matter?

A similar thing happened to me a year back & I contacted Clam & all they made me do was pay for shipping. Hope everything works out...

They will work with you if you can get ahold of them.
Take a kid fishing,they make great pack mules.
Put the big ones back for another day eat the small ones.

I had my Clam bag rip last year.  I sent them a picture of it along with the receipt and they sent me a new bag this year.  I didn't have to pay shipping.  The bags that they have for this year are much better than the ones they had last year.  They are easy to deal with and respond quick to e-mails.  You may have to get the receipt from the actual purchaser.
