Set up time
« on: Dec 03, 2010, 09:16 PM »
What is the actual set up time for a hub style shelter on the ice?  I'm looking at the Glen's 3 person, but I'm not sure about theset up.  I've used the flip over, pop up suitcase, and the fold down sled type but never the hub style.  How easy is it to set up and break down?  Is it easy to get back in it's carrier?  My other concern is the lack of a floor.  Does this make a big difference as far as heat retention with a heater?  Would i have to bring something to put down under my feet.  Okay last question.  Would a portable buddy heater sufficiently heat this type/size shanty?  It would probably serve mostly as a warming house, so this is a big one.

With 2 people setting it up, would be about 2 minutes. The longest time will be spent on screwing in the ancors unless you are using a cordless drill.
If fishing was work I'd never be sick!
