Ice season is only a couple months away here in Tioga County, PA and we're proud to be offering our biggest selection yet this year.  We are currently dealing with some vendor delays, but new gear is arriving every week!  We are also constantly working to update and improve our website.  Check out www.shoptackleshack.co m to see whats in store!

We are bringing in a bunch of new brands this year including IFishPro and Otter. Jaw Jackers are also back in stock!

With current shipping delays, we do expect shortages on a number of items this year.  We will continue to post here as items arrive.  We hope to be near full stock within the next month, with more product trickling in through the end of the year.

We are starting to see some ice again here in Tioga County with most of the smaller lakes and ponds skimmed over.  We have a few warmer days to get through, but cold nights should keep them locked up.  We'll start posting regular updates after Christmas.

Also, Beechwood Lake was recently restocked with trout.

1/7/22 Tioga County ICE Report


A thin blanket of snow and windy conditions today are slowing the ice building.  It will be a few more days until the lakes are ready.  Hills Creek is completely frozen.  Hamilton, Beechwood, and Nessmuk all have small patches of open water.  There is roughly 1-2" of ice on all 4 of them at the boat launches.  Sunday's warmup should help melt the snow down and temps look great to build ice the rest of the week.  We will update reports again mid-week.  Be patient and soon enough we'll be out on the ice!

New reports for the smaller lakes are posted in the reports section.  A few people were fishing Hills Creek and Nessmuk today.  Hamilton completely capped over this week too.  We will try to update again on Friday.  Reports are also available on our Facebook page.

Conditions should only improve through the rest of the week.  Lows near 0 are expected Friday/Saturday too.

1/18/2022- A little more snow today.  Roughly a foot of snow is on the ground across the county.

If you're looking for a shelter, we have a number of pop ups in stock from Shappell, Eskimo, Clam, and Frabill. 

We are expecting 7- 1 man Clam Kenai flipover shelters by the weekend and 4 Clam Nanook XL Thermal Team Edition 2 man flipover shelters within the next week.

This winter storm started as freezing rain and turned to mostly sleet yesterday and last night.  We are getting a mix of sleet/snow now.  Snow is expected through the middle of the afternoon.  We won't have a chance to update conditions today, but the lakes should fair pretty well.  We did not get the heavy rains that came through the southern part of the state.
