Guys I am very late on this one but I would like to get in on this Rodeo... Is there a charge and is there a limit on who can enter? If not I know of 3 people including me...

Theres a $300 late fee since u didnt enter before dec 15 just make the check to me

No charge, no limit. Just show up and have fun. As far as planning goes, all we have to do between now and then is evaluate the ice conditions and set a meeting place. If you like to cook and BS, then by all means bring some grub and some BS material. Last year I brought chili. I need a better reheating system. I was thinking that I could bring a crock pot and keep it hot where I’ll stay and then just bring it out on the ice and keep it warm some how… Parking is a critical element to the location choice. Perhaps we can meet at the State Park boat ramp area? Anyone else have any location ideas? Remember, access must be available legally to the public and there has to be parking for everyone.

Date Change for the Deep Creek Iceshanty Get Together!!! New Date will be Saturday, February 4th, 2006.

This was done because of a change in Tourney dates(for those that want to participate) at Deep Creek. The Iceshanty Get Together is totally separate from the tourney which will be held on Sunday. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

FYI... the DCL Ice Tournament is delayed until Sunday, February 19th in hopes of ice coming back...right now there are waves in the main lake

Postponed but not out of the question. That area gets quite cold. If normal temps return for this time of year up there the ice could return safely across the entire lake in a week, but that is the catch...we need this weather pattern and current jet stream to change. Everyone please turn and face the south, take a deep breath, and blow! Once we have signs of ice on that lake then we'll return to planning this thing. Set aside Feb 18 weekend for now (the tourney date has been revised to the 19th).
