I caught 3 this weekend only got pics of 2 but i got a video of the other it is a smaller male fish about 4lbs..The large male is 12 lb 4ounces the female was right at 5 lbs...

that big fish is actually a hold over....I will tell you this; in lake where there is allot of alewives that is where you fish for them find the bait fish in the deeper water..Fish your shiners under this ice 2-3 ft...And make sure you are using small bait

Between me and my father we have landed 10 of the 2 are hold overs

nice salmon, i caught a 7lb. broodstock, early ice in mass. But I can't figure out how to post the pic...suggestions?

the salmon do holdover but they become skinny with big heads...they dont eat as well as they did in the hatchery so they become skinny...i caught one at hopkinton a few years ago in the summer...i would say these fish arent holdovers.....no matter how much baitfish are in the water they still dont eat as well as they did in the hatchery
