Title: Privite Pond Southern Ct.
Post by: 68 TROUT on Feb 19, 2014, 01:30 PM
Hi:
Had an opportunity to get out this A.M. around 6:00A.M. on a friend's Pond.
Set 6 Tips and tried different minnow sets,, eyes, back & lips !!
Added some garlic & cheese to this set and waited it out. Could only do 2-3 hours, had other errands to do...
First tip was a small bass, around 1-1/2# , next was a small Brown Trout, all fish were put back.
Hit a couple of sunnies, jigging, but, no great size. As it worked out, just happy to get a chance to get out !!
The biggest fish was a Pic, around 18" and he too was put back in...
The barometric pressure had a lot to do with the action today, very slow, but, hell, I was out there and happy !!!
Had 8" of ice average and the snow cap was 18" at least...
It is not fun sledding through this, but, it is ICE FISHING, and will go away, very soon !!!
Be Safe-Tight Lines

Hey you got out, caught some fish, it was a beautiful day out, at least at my house where I was NOT ice fishing  ;)

Glad to hear you had a good day!
