Got on the jumbos.. Not the first 13" this year but I finally found some time to post some pictures.  ;D

not wanting to hijack your thread but what is a good size perch for the wall...any suggestions!! I've caught some good ones and my girlfriend said she may spring for a reproduction mount...so just curious!!!

First off...great perch catch and pics 101hoosierperching!!!!  :clap:

gillcommander, I would say if you get one over 15 from an inland lake in Indiana, it is a wall hanger.  Lake michigan and erie will crank out larger fish, but from an inland lake 15" is huge.  Even 14+ might be a wall hanger.  I have caught a few at 14" out of wawasee years ago, but none recently as I don't chase them like I used to.

Nice catch. Its been a long while since I have caught a perch through the ice. Might have to do a little detective work and become a stalker. ;D  Good job and keep after them.

14.5 for some would qualify but like Waxy said....bigger than 15 for me. I had one frozen that was a tick over 15 frozen for the wall but I rummaged through the freezer looking for deer sausage and left it out. Two days later I tracked the scent and lost my mounter.

I like how you can see just how big the mouth is on these big perch, That's why I use a whole minnow on a spoon, limits the smaller ones and attracts more fish, good haul for sure, keep on em, if you found them on a break they just may be following that break, but if they were on a flat it's still gonna take some searching. Hope to see some more hawgs, GREAT JOB!!!!! :o
