Using a eagle elite 500c for ice fishing

Hello all. I'm in search of a new flasher, but before I pull the trigger on one I have a eagle elite 500c just collecting dust. My dad replaced it with a Lowrance fish finder for his boat. So I'm wondering if I would be able to use the the eagle elite 500c for ice fishing? I know I need a different transducer. And if anyone knows if it has a flasher, instead of the graph.
